Injection/Immunizations
The Immunization/Injection module is a tool that helps clinicians enter and track immunizations,
therapeutic injections or allergy injections, and document injection administration.
The module allows clinicians to make clinical decisions about immunizations and injections and follow-
up with patients to ensure they are protected. VIS handout information may be printed and given to the
patient at the time of the injection. All components of the immunization/injection module are fully
integrated into WebChart's workflow feature. Features include:
• Forecast, track and manage patient injections
• Receive alerts when shots are due or past due
• Print VIS handouts for the patient
• Flu program alerts
• Track vaccine inventory
• Registry interfaces
• Create detailed workflows and reporting
Lab Results & Flow Sheets
Electronic lab management can provide an end to end process for the ordering and processing of lab
results. Actions can be initiated based on lab results returned such as notify employee of all normal
results, or task clinician if abnormal results are present.
Flow sheet tracking is available for trending of results over time to monitor ongoing conditions such as
diabetes A1C for example. Population of discrete lab values can be performed manually by clinic staff, or
can be done automatically if lab interfaces are enabled. If document management features of WebChart
are enabled, the scanned content will be populated to the chart. Features include:
• Customized order forms and forms management
• Electronic or paper based ordering
• Electronic lab interface
• Lab results & management flow sheets
Mass Immunization Management
The flu immunization program feature checks to see if the patient has a HIPAA consent form already on
file, and if not, allows the patient to sign the form electronically. The clinician enters the information for
each vial just once, and WebChart pulls the vial information forward from patient to patient, enabling
the clinician to move quickly without re-entering vial information for each patient. Prior to the injection,
WebChart checks each patient's history for allergies to influenza flu shots or eggs, and checks the
